The XPERIA Pureness is inspired by art rather than technology and emphasising ´text, talk and time´ it draws its inspiration from clarity and simplicity. The actual specifications of the Pureness are very basic and the sole reason for its high price tag is the fact that the Pureness has a transparent screen. While this novelty may be enough to make some rush out and buy the Pureness, this rather recent technological development does come with drawbacks. Sony Ericsson has not developed away to use colour yet and so the display is limited to monochrome. The corollary of this is that there is no camera, picture viewing or video playback and this may be one of the main reasons for the simplicity of the phone. There is a music player which includes TrackID and also an FM radio, but the additional cost that separates this phone from other basic handsets is essentially just a screen which in itself is actually very basic.
