The W995, Sony Ericssons brilliant new walkman phone, is set to make huge waves in the media phone market and is already creating a lot of hype. Not only is the W995 an incredibly stylish, slick looking slider, it boasts some excellent software on top of the already brilliant features of all the Walkman phones from Sony Ericsson. They have included a piece of software than will no doubt become standard on all of their models, if not all media phones, called MediaGo.
MediaGo allows the transfer of almost any media type from PC to phone without any compromise to quality or compression. This will allow you to download films, video clips etc from various sources to the phone without having to worry about encoding issues and the like. With the W995 possessing enough battery life to play 2 full length films, this bit of software will allow you to download those films regardless of their type.
The W995 also has a camera capable of competing with like of the Pixon and KC910i Renoir, boasting 8.1MP, face recognition, auto flash and geotagging amongst many other features, it isfeature of this phone that a lot would feel might be neglected but most certainly is not.

Unlike the current smartphones, such as the iPhone, G1, Nokia 5800 etc. the W995 does not run on the S60 operating system but Sony Ericsson´s OS does the job with all applications running smoothly and efficiently. Unfortunately SE have not included a touch screen on this model which would really have put the icing on the cake for this stunning handset but the W995 still holds its own with amazing media capabilities, an excellent quality camera and sleek design.
