Samsung Tocco Lite
Summary
If – as we think many of you will be - you´re okay with the fact this phone isn´t the right choice for heavy internet-access (we think that most of you will have desktops and laptops for that anyway), then the Tocco Lite could be clever choice indeed, because if you spend some time to look around you´re going to find yourself an absolute cracker of a deal.
Samsung have very openly trimmed features on this phone to not only make it one of the most affordable touchscreen handsets out there, but to also make it light and fantastically small and thin.
If it´s scaled down but still impressive touchscreen action you want, you´ve come to the right place!

Details
Although that lack of 3G and WiFi might scare you off this phone, Samsung have done everything possible to ensure it´s not actually as big a deal as you might think. They´ve done this most brilliantly of all by including a set of customisable widgets that let you connect to the sites and functions you use most. Fair enough the sites you connect to won´t be as graphics heavy or smooth in action as on higher-end phones, but then those phones will have burnt a much bigger hole in your pocket! The widgets can be chosen and placed around your homescreen or main menu to allow one-click access through to everything from updating you Facebook status to checking up-to-date share prices.
All this is also delivered via the fantastic TouchWiz interface, the stable User Interface for all Samsung touchscreen phones. Built from scratch with the touchscreen user (i.e. you!) in mind, this is quite simply one of the most intuitive, simple and downright fun UI´s we´ve ever used.
The Tocco Lite also does a decent job with with all its other functions. Some might not be that impressed at the 3” size of the screen but we think it´s more than adequate for everything you´ll be asking of the phone (it can of course be tipped to offer landscape windows for browsing, etc.) The camera at 3.2 megapixels isn´t a ground breaker but it´s pictures are more than good enough for posting online and there´s a few nifty add-ons like face recognition and geotagging. There´s also a bunch of shortcuts and link-ups with Google´s software (Seach, Maps, Mail, etc.). And, of course, thanks to all the streamlining Samsung have enacted, everything comes in a very chic little package that´ll fit into your palm like a dream.
Overall
A very decently priced touchscreen phone that´s going to give LG´s extremely popular Cookie phone a run for its money for sure.
The Tocco Lite has a clear, bright screen, a wealth of functions to keep all but the most demanding of users happy and, best of all, with a bit of luck, you´ll find yourself an absolute steal of a deal.
