The Samsung Omnia 2 I8000 is the top phone in the Omnia range, boasting an impressive range of features. It comes with a sharp 3.7” AMOLED touch screen using resistive technology. While this is not as favourable among many compared to the capacitive technology used by the Apple iPhone, the screen on the Omnia 2 is larger and has a clearer image. The 5 megapixel camera is not as high quality as some phone cameras being released today (like the hefty 12 megapixel camera found on the Pixon12) it still comes with a great set of additions that are lacking on other phone cameras, such as smile and face detection, geo-tagging as well as having 2 LED flashes. The camera also has video capturing ability and records at 30fps. The Omnia 2 uses Windows Mobile with Samsung’s TouchWiz interface on top. The phone supports a large selection of multimedia formats with a possible internal storage of 48GB with mircoSD cards, making the Omnia 2 one of the most spacious phones on the market.
